KLEZMORET are four instrumentalists performing all over Europe, extremely active in many musical styles. They are united by their passion for Jewish music. In their musical explorations, they use not only Jewish themes, but also Balkan and Slavic ones, adding elements of jazz and contemporary music. Their music is full of expression, passion and emotions, it is “middle music” in its purest form. The musicians’ love for various musical cultures resulted in creating their own unique style. The group was founded in Gdańsk in 2006 on the initiative of accordionist Paweł A. Nowak, an enthusiast of Jewish songs, Balkan rhythms and Slavic melodies. In 2008, the first album KLEZMORET was released, recorded in Janusz Hajdun’s studio at Radio Gdańsk. In 2019, after a break of almost five years, the band with a new line-up returned to concert activity.
