Grażyna Auguścik – is a vocalist, arranger, composer, producer and leader of her own band. By American critics unanimously acknowledged as one of the most interesting figures on the world jazz scene. Since 1994 she has been living in Chicago, where she gives concerts, records her own albums, takes part in many jazz and underground recording projects of other artists, at the same time running her own record label GMARecords. She has recorded, produced and released 19 solo albums so far, 11 of them with her own recording company, more than 20 as a guest artist and more than 20 remixes with her voice. She collaborates with musicians she knows well and appreciates. Among them are: John Medeski, Michael and Randy Brecker, Jim Hall, Toots Thielemans, Michal Urbaniak, Urszula Dudziak, Patricia Barber, Paul Wertico, John McLean, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Matt Ulery, Paulinho Garcia, Jarek Bester, Andrzej Jagodzinski and many others.
Bester Quartet – the group consists of four outstanding instrumentalists – Jarosław Bester (accordion), Dawid Lubowicz (violin), Ryszard Pałka (percussion, drums, vibraphone), Maciej Adamczak (double bass). They have 11 albums to their credit. The band is characterized by performing music of a wide stylistic cross-section – from classical, through jazz and avant-garde, to contemporary chamber music, where the foundation for building unique instrumental forms is improvisation. The formation is a new face of the legendary The Cracow Klezmer Band. Bester Quartet has made countless recordings for television and radio stations in Poland and abroad. The band has given concerts in many prestigious clubs in several dozen countries, and has cooperated with outstanding jazz, klezmer and avant-garde musicians.
