It is already certain – the 20th jubilee edition of the International Accordion Festival in Sulęczyn will be held in a four-day formula and, as always, the entrance to the event will be free! The list of artists is long and impressive. The organizers have taken care
the highest artistic level. We will hear Marcel Loeffler, the Tzigan Trio, Grażyna Auguścik with the Bester Quartet, and Ewa Bem with the Andrzej Jagodziński Quartet!
The grand opening of the festival will take place on July 17. Traditionally, the first of the five concerts will be held in the Holy Trinity Church in Sulęczyn. We will hear one of Paweł A. Nowak’s first musical projects – Klezmoret. The group, already known to the festival audience, will perform a new material.
-The musical screw will be tightened again. This time we will play with the accompaniment of a chamber orchestra. We will perform material from our latest album, which will have its premiere this very evening – announces Paweł A. Nowak, musician and festival director.
On the other hand, the stage in front of the Maraska Restaurant will fill up on Thursday, July 21.
-The Argentinian group Tzigan Trio, which will be on tour in Europe at the time, will perform. It is a sensational, very energetic band that combines gypsy music with tango. I am convinced that it will satisfy our listeners – encourages Paweł A. Nowak.
Friday evening in the park at the Leśny Dwór Hotel will certainly satisfy various musical tastes, because the repertoire of this concert will be very wide and varied.
-That day an international group of musicians will perform, led by vocalist Jean-Claude Seferian. His quartet will perform French chanson, so much appreciated by the festival audience. The icing on the cake will be the performance of Grażyna Auguścik
and Bester Quartet – sums up Paweł A. Nowak.
The final of the festival, which as every year takes place in the amphitheater of the Community Cultural Center, is scheduled for Saturday, July 23. It will be a combination of exceptional artistic personalities and musical styles from all over the world.
-The performance of the popular British group Faith and Branko Quartet, which will take us on a musical journey through the Balkans, promises to be extremely energetic. Marcel Loefller, an outstanding gypsy jazz accordionist specializing in the manouche style, will also perform that day. The festival will close with a concert by Ewa Bem and the Andrzej Jagodziński Quartet. It will be a real treat for lovers of jazz and good music, which these legendary artists will undoubtedly provide. It is worth mentioning that Andrzej Jagodziński will play the majority of the recital on the accordion! – encourages Paweł A. Nowak.
